The room was stripped right back to expose the stud walls and the floor joists. Everything was squared and levelled, pipe work moved to allow secure fixings in the floor and to allow for the Schlüter linear floor drain.
The floor was rebuilt using marine ply prior to the installation of the Schlüter LTS wet floor tray with G3 drain and Schlüter Ditra Heat underfloor heating.
We then prepared the walls with Schlüter Kerdi board, finally sealing with Schlüter keba and kerdi col-l leaving us with a fully waterproofed wetroom before a single tile was set.
The tile scheme was laid out to centre every thing perfectly.
From the feature wall tile behind the basins through to the mosaic waterfall detail in the shower.
All the external corners of tile were perfectly mitred and finished with an epoxy resin to match the colour of the tile leaving a seamless finish.
The bespoke lighting detail giving a wash of colour down the walls and across the ceiling was designed by us and fabricated by our friends at Precision Fine Woodworking.
We were tasked with designing and building these beautiful pedicure thrones for a local treatment rooms, they not only needed to be aesthetically pleasing but also functional allowing the technicians to be able to work at a comfortable height whilst having space for their equipment.
We created a solid timber framework clad in marine ply then covered with Schlüter Ditra 25 and kerdi 200 fleece.
Finished with a large format green onyx porcelain tile. All external edges were mitred and finished with a gloss resin colour matched to suit the tile.
Basins and mixer taps installed, we also incorporated a magnetic access tile to ensure the taps and basin wastes were accessible for servicing in the future.
